In response to Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order 2020-21, the Davison Township Board convened an emergency session to ensure the continuity of essential township services while adhering to "Stay Home/Stay Safe" mandates. The board outlined a plan to maintain minimum basic operations, specifically focusing on payroll, payment processing, building inspections, and assessing functions.

To mitigate risk, the board implemented a rotating one-day work schedule for designated essential employees and mandated that all staff remain available via telephone during normal business hours. Additionally, the board addressed public safety by closing certain recreational areas and providing relief for utility bill late fees.

• Operational Continuity: Essential township functions (payroll, billing, inspections, assessing) will continue under a reduced, alternating-day schedule.
• Public Access Changes: The Dog Park and Lake Callis are closed to the public, though trails (including Williams Park) remain open.
• Financial Relief: Late fees for water and sewer bills will be extended to the 15th of the following month.
• Facility Maintenance: Deep cleaning of township buildings will continue.
• Staffing Policy: All designated employees will be paid regular hours with no overtime; employees must remain reachable by phone.
